Miandra is no longer nervous and isolated

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them…” – Matthew 19:14

Miandra is progressing well after only a few months of inclusive education

7-year-old Miandra comes from a large family of 14 children. Three of her siblings are also deaf.

Miandra lives in the town of Ambositra - famous for its art, culture and crafts – which is located in the Highlands of the big island.

Miandra arrived at one of the nine cbm-funded Competence Centres, thanks to the support of generous people like you.

She was a nervous and isolated child when she arrived at the school, but the teachers and the other students received her well and she was able to open up to them.

Even though she is a new student, her academic results are amazing, and she holds first place in her class.

She is quickly developing and progressing well after only a few months of inclusive education.

Her mother is very happy with Miandra’s progress, and is so grateful for the support at the Competence Centre, and from kind-hearted people like you.

Miandra is making new friends, she’s loving school, and wants to continue learning for as long as she can.
