“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” – Psalm 46:1
Heavenly Father,
We lift before You the people of Madagascar as they face the devastation left by Cyclone Gezani. You see every flooded home, every damaged road, every family grieving loss, and every person wondering how to rebuild.
Be a refuge for those who are afraid.
Be strength for those who feel overwhelmed.
Be comfort for those who mourn.
Lord, provide food for the hungry, clean water for the thirsty, shelter for the displaced, and protection from further harm. Give wisdom and endurance to emergency workers, churches, and aid organisations serving on the ground. Stir hearts around the world to respond with generosity and compassion.
Where there is destruction, bring restoration.
Where there is despair, plant hope.
Where there is loss, surround Your people with Your peace.
May the people of Madagascar know that they are not forgotten. May Your presence be near, Your mercy abundant, and Your love evident in every helping hand.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
