What a joy to be part of the NZ Association for Christian Schools Conference!

Over 650 passionate teachers and leaders from 64 Christian schools came together under the inspiring theme of “Flourishing.”

Elizabeth and Viv were truly blessed to attend this event and share God’s heart for inclusion and belonging with attendees. They introduced cbm’s Bible study Belonging: Reflecting on Disability Inclusion – a free Bible study resource designed to help schools and churches to further embrace people with a lived experience of disability.

Through meaningful conversations and powerful cbm videos, the attendees explored how schools can become places where the needs of children and teachers with disabilities are identified and better understood. One of the cbm videos showed the incredible impact cbm supporters like you are having in transforming children’s lives, as witnessed by two CBM ambassadors when they travelled to Nepal to the cbm-funded Eye Hospital. Attendees heard what Lucy, one of the CBM ambassadors, had to say when she saw a young boy receive sight-saving cataract surgery: “We truly are witnessing a miracle here. They’ve just popped the new lens in. This little boy’s life is about to change forever. And not only that, the generations to come after him. He gets to now be educated, therefore his children can be educated. This is how we start to shift poverty. It’s miraculous…” To watch the full video please go to www.cbmnz.org.nz/lucydanielle

Elizabeth and Viv are so grateful for every teacher and leader who stopped by the cbm table to learn more about bringing God’s Kingdom to life in their schools through creating a sense of belonging.
